Dr. Ahmed Tar is a Psychological Associate and Postdoctoral Resident at Huntington Psychological Services. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Health Emphasis from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University. Dr. Tar also holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Tar specializes in neuropsychological assessment, focusing on how neurological conditions impact daily functioning across the lifespan. His clinical training includes conducting comprehensive evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, and neurodegenerative disorders. Rather than just providing data, Dr. Tar focuses on translating complex findings into practical, life-changing strategies for his patients and their families.

In addition to his assessment work, he provides evidence-based therapy, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help patients manage anxiety and other emotional disorders. Dr. Tar also brings a specialized understanding of sleep science, integrating sleep-related wellness into his holistic approach to cognitive health.
