Teen Therapist & Counseling in Pasadena, CA
A safe space for adolescents to navigate anxiety, pressure, and finding their own path.
Is Your Teen Seeming "Off" Lately?
Adolescence is more than just a phase; it is a complex developmental leap. You might be noticing shifts that worry you:
Emotional Withdrawal: Spending excessive time alone, avoiding family dinners, or dropping hobbies they used to love.
High Anxiety: Constant worry about grades, college admissions, or what others think of them.
Unpredictable Moods: Irritability, anger, or tearfulness that seems to come out of nowhere.
Loss of Confidence: Struggling with self-esteem, body image, or feeling like they don't "fit in."
Therapy That Teens Actually Connect With
At Huntington Psychological Services, we know that teens shut down when they feel analyzed or judged. Our approach to teen counseling is relational first. We treat adolescents as young adults in training, not children.
Our clinicians use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Talk Therapy to help them:
Understand their emotions: Identifying why they feel anxious or sad and how to regulate it.
Build resilience: Developing practical coping skills for school stress and peer conflict.
Find their voice: Learning to express needs and boundaries confidently without shutting down.

We Are Your Partners
We know you want to help, but sometimes a teen needs a neutral space to process their thoughts. We bridge that gap. While your teen’s sessions are confidential (essential for building trust), we view parents as vital allies. We provide periodic updates on general themes and offer separate parent support sessions to help you navigate this season of parenting with less conflict and more connection.

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. This ensures your care is never dictated by an insurance company's session limits or mandatory diagnoses.
After you pay for your session, we will provide you with a "superbill" (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We encourage you to check with your provider about your specific OON benefits.
