  • Competitive Compensation: This is a W2 employee position paid at a flat, competitive hourly rate per session. We project an initial full-time annual earnings range of $70,000 - $120,000.

Please note: We are committed to building your caseload to a full-time status during your 90-day introductory period. After this period, full-time clinicians are eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. We assist with patient referrals to help you build and maintain your caseload, providing full marketing support.

Position Description: What You'll Do

As a Psychologist at our practice, your role will be focused entirely on providing therapy and helping to build our new program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality, evidence-based individual therapy to a diverse child, teen, and adult population.

  • Developing and implementing treatment plans with a focus on CBT and other evidence-based modalities.

  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical records and progress notes.

  • Participating actively in regular case consultations and supervision to ensure the highest standard of care.

  • Playing a key role in establishing and growing our new CBT-focused therapy program.

  • Receiving specialized training in the Unified Protocol (UP), a cutting-edge CBT approach designed to treat a wide range of emotional disorders, to enhance your clinical toolkit.

Requirements: Who We're Looking For

  • Education: Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a similar field) from an APA-accredited program.

  • Licensure:

    • Licensed: Currently licensed to practice independently as a Psychologist in the state of California.

    • License-Eligible: Or, have completed all doctoral degree requirements and are eligible to register as a Registered Psychological Associate. For our associates, we provide the high-quality supervision required to complete your licensure hours.

  • Experience & Skills:

    • Strong experience or a dedicated interest in evidence-based psychotherapies, with a clear preference for experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

    • Knowledge and experience working with children, teens, and adults presenting with mood and anxiety disorders.

    • Familiarity with using DSM-5-TR for clinical diagnoses.

    • A strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest ethical standards.

    • Excitement for helping to build a new program.

Position Overview:

As a Psychological Associate (Postdoctoral Resident) in a private practice setting, you will perform psychological and neuropsychological assessments for individuals of all ages under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. You will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the assessment process, from initial intake to testing, feedback sessions, and report writing. In this role, you will work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, evaluating a wide range of concerns, including cognitive, social, emotional, academic, and developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments for children, teens, and adults with various concerns like ADHD, autism, learning disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and more.

  • Administer, score, and interpret different psychological tests, including those for cognitive skills, memory, attention, executive functioning, and emotional and personality assessments.

  • Perform diagnostic intake interviews and provide helpful, useful feedback sessions to clients and their families.

  • Write detailed reports, summarizing findings and offering diagnostic impressions and personalized treatment recommendations.

  • Offer clear, compassionate feedback to clients and families to help them understand the results, diagnoses, and recommendations.

  • Communicate with other professionals involved in the client’s care, such as therapists, doctors, and educators.

  • Keep accurate and detailed records, following all legal and ethical guidelines.

  • Participate in regular supervision with a licensed psychologist, who will help you grow professionally and meet postdoctoral requirements for licensure in California.

  • Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in psychological and neuropsychological testing.

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (or a related field) from an APA-accredited program.

  • Eligible to register with the California Board of Psychology as a Registered Psychological Associate (we’ll help you with the registration process).

  • Ability to work compassionately with a diverse range of clients who have complex cognitive, emotional, social, and developmental conditions.

  • Strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience administering and interpreting psychological and neuropsychological tests during previous internships or practicum.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Completed a pre-doctoral internship that included experience in psychological and/or neuropsychological assessment.
