Dr. Allen Sung is a Clinical Psychologist and Vice President of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association (SGVPA)—recipient of the California Psychological Association’s (CPA) 2026 Chapter of the Year, the state's highest honor for a regional chapter. Dedicated to helping children, adults, and families thrive, Dr. Sung specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological and educational assessments. His clinical approach is defined by a blend of warmth and professionalism, ensuring a collaborative and empowering experience for every patient.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and his master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Sung's expertise in advanced assessment is backed by several years of clinical consultation and mentorship under Dr. Stephanie Nelson, President of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology (AAPdN).

Dr. Sung’s clinical foundation is further strengthened by his early work in addiction recovery at Las Encinas Hospital’s famous Briar Unit—the West Coast’s flagship treatment center during the 2000s—where he was mentored by “Dr. Drew” Pinsky, Bob Forrest, and Shelly Sprague.

A San Gabriel Valley native and alumnus of Flintridge Preparatory School, Dr. Sung is deeply committed to community mental health and education. As Director of Clinical Training (DCT), he oversees the practice’s doctoral training program—a member site of the Southern California Association of Psychology Training Programs (SCAPTP)—mentoring the next generation of psychology doctoral students. He also serves as a mental health and programmatic consultant for premier local private schools and acts as a dedicated career mentor to UCLA students and alumni.
