Dr. Allen Sung is a Clinical Psychologist and Vice President of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association (SGVPA)—the regional chapter of the California Psychological Association (CPA) recognized as Chapter of the Year in 2026. Specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological and educational assessments, Dr. Sung helps children, adults, and families thrive through an approach that balances clinical excellence with authentic warmth.

A local native and alumnus of Flintridge Preparatory School, Dr. Sung earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA before completing his master’s and doctorate at the California School of Professional Psychology. His clinical foundation includes specialized training in addiction recovery under “Dr. Drew” Pinsky at Las Encinas Hospital, as well as advanced assessment consultation and mentorship under Dr. Stephanie Nelson, PhD, ABPP, ABPdN, President of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology (AAPdN).

Deeply committed to systemic mental health and community education, Dr. Sung serves as Director of Clinical Training (DCT), overseeing the practice’s doctoral training program—a member site of the Southern California Association of Psychology Training Programs (SCAPTP). Beyond his practice, he regularly delivers psychoeducational presentations to local schools and community organizations, consults for premier private academic institutions, and serves as a dedicated career mentor to UCLA students and alumni.
