Dr. Allen Sung is a licensed clinical psychologist, Training Director at Huntington Psychological Services, and Vice President of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association (SGVPA), recognized as the California Psychological Association’s 2026 Outstanding Chapter of the Year. Specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations across the lifespan, Dr. Sung combines diagnostic precision with a warm, collaborative approach, helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate complex cognitive profiles with clarity.

Dr. Sung earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and his master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. His advanced assessment expertise is grounded in years of post-doctoral consultation and mentorship under Dr. Stephanie Nelson, President of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology (AAPdN). His broader clinical foundation also draws from extensive early-career training in acute psychiatric stabilization and chemical dependency on the renowned Briar Unit at Las Encinas Hospital, training alongside Dr. Drew Pinsky and leading regional addiction medicine specialists.

A lifelong San Gabriel Valley native and an alumnus of Flintridge Preparatory School, Dr. Sung brings a firsthand understanding of the academic expectations, social landscapes, and developmental pressures local students face. In addition to directing the practice’s doctoral training track—a member site of the Southern California Association of Psychology Training Programs (SCAPTP)—he remains actively invested in local education. He serves as an elected parent representative on the Valentine Elementary School Site Council in San Marino, consults for local independent and public schools, and provides ongoing career mentorship to UCLA students and emerging psychologists.
